In September, a program was held that connected the past and present of Seongbuk-gu during the daytime. In October, you can experience the enchanting nights of Seongbuk-gu, which beautifully preserves the history and modernity of Seoul! This program offers a calming tea ceremony experience at Yehyangjae, a tour of Bukjeong Village, and a visit to a bakery in Seongbuk-gu renowned for its wheat products. After enjoying a restful break, you’ll witness the gentle descent of darkness over Seoul. Conclude your day with a stroll along Hanyangdoseong Fortress, which encircles the heart of Seoul, while taking in the breathtaking night view!

In the fall, Sangam Sky Park comes alive with gently swaying silver grass, pink muhly, broom cypress. Aren’t you curious about the stunning sight of the sunset painting this landscape? The Oil Tank Culture Park, originally an oil reserve, has been transformed into a cultural park that boasts its own unique charm. Once a landfill, it has been repurposed into a serene resting place for citizens and stands as a symbol of rebirth: Nanji Hangang Park! Afterward, if you leisurely cross the bridge and refresh yourself in the cool night air by the Hangang River, you'll experience the most beautiful autumn night!

Let’s explore the stunning night view of Seoul along the Hanyangdoseong Fortress! Ihwa Mural Village, known for its hidden murals nestled within tranquil neighborhoods, offers a panoramic vista of the city when you glance back. Discover a variety of captivating murals scattered throughout the village! If you continue along the fortress wall, you can immerse yourself in its rich history and culture by ascending to Naksan Park, where you can enjoy a breathtaking night view of Seoul, complemented by the long fortress wall and gentle lighting. The Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), a cultural complex featuring a distinctive architectural design, also awaits you with its enchanting nighttime illumination!

There is also a course designed to tour Ansan, featuring one of the rare endless metasequoia forest paths in Seoul. First, ascend Ansan Bongsudae (beacon tower), the highest point in the area, and enjoy a panoramic view of downtown Seoul. Historically, Bongsudae was used by Korean soldiers to send long-distance signals using smoke or fire. As you descend the gentle walking path lined with metasequoia and pine trees, you’ll encounter the beautiful Hongjecheon Artificial Falls and Hongje Yuyeon, an art gallery uniquely located beneath a river bridge. This walking course is loved by locals!

This season, immerse yourself in the vibrant autumn foliage and its accompanying sentiments. We’ll hike along the fortress walls of Bugaksan Mountain, where you can admire the stunning autumn colors! Hanyang Doseong Fortress traverses Bugaksan Mountain, offering breathtaking autumn scenery. Starting from the Seoul Hiking Tourism Center Bugaksan branch, we’ll pass through Samcheong Park, a popular local resting spot, and Malbawi, famous for its scenic views of N Seoul Tower on clear days. Finally, we’ll reach Baegakmaru, the summit of Bugaksan Mountain! Enjoy the sweeping views of surrounding mountains and the cityscape, beautifully adorned in shades of yellow and red.

There is also a Bukhansan autumn foliage trail that allows you to enjoy not only the three main peaks of Bukhansan but also the stunning views of the five peaks of Dobongsan. The hike begins at the Seoul Hiking Tourism Center Bukhansan branch and starts with Yongdeoksa Temple, which features a mysterious and massive Buddha statue carved into stone. From there, you’ll pass the Yukmojeong Pass and continue along a scenic mountain path that enhances your hiking experience, ultimately arriving at Yeongbong Peak. At Yeongbong, you can admire Insubong Peak, a renowned rock climbing destination, where you’ll often see enthusiastic climbers scaling its heights. While exploring Bukhansan, a popular spot for autumn foliage, be sure to uncover its hidden stories!
